Strange post title I know,
"My Rolodex Year".
But this is a new little project I started
that I wanted to share, and see if you want to try it too.
I found this new Rolodex at the thrift for
$2 recently. On-line I have been seeing
cute re-purposing and altered art projects
for these guys.
Gals have been making recipe versions,
scrapbook types, dates to remember versions,
special scriptures.....lots of options to choose from.
Do a google search and you'll see what I mean.
Pinterest has lots of versions too...
I've decided to incorporate all of the
above ideas I listed.
Introducing one of my new projects
for 2013 and beyond....
Rolodex Through The Year.
I have already begun, and
I am having lots of fun.
Every month I plan on documenting;
favorite Scriptures passages from my reading,
lines from Hymns, and great quotes.
Recipes our family has enjoyed.
Fun pics from things we did.
I'll be dividing up sections by month,
or occasion, or color...
Lots of ideas are running through my head.
Make one that fits your style and flavor.
Here is what I've got so far.
Start with this.
Here is my "Cover".
A little vintage feel, using "bits and bobs".
Its about be telling our story, through the year.
Here is my January divider-
I used a little bit of French here for fun.
Those cute little bunny tags I got here.
For my first "file",
I did a Winter scripture theme.
This verse has been bouncing around
in my heart a lot this month so far.
I (we) need to trust Him at all times.
Here is another verse" file" I did.
This verse is also so meaningful for me, in this
new year.
He has and will do marvelous thing this year.
This Rolodex project is a great scrap buster \ blaster.
All of those little bits you might be
saving from other projects, are perfect to use for this.
I hope your inspired to try to do one of
these this year. It just takes a few minutes a week.
At the end of the year you'll have a special
"box" of memories.
If you want more ideas of what
you could put into your Rolodex,
just do a google search for
Rolodex altered projects and you'll see
tons of images of what others
have done.
I'll be posting what I'm doing in
my "files" every month.
So check back often to see
my instalments.
Tootles.
